Front Line Leaders Boot Camp

The Effective Syndicate's FLL Boot Camp is a week-long session designed to help operations professionals become better leaders.  The target attendees are operations professionals that fall in to one of the following levels in the organization:

  • Supervisors
  • Department Managers
  • Plant/Production Managers

This session is ideal for new supervisors and managers, but is also highly effective for the high potential team members in the organization.  Men and women who have been managing people for a period of time but may want to raise their skills in search of the next step/promotion in their career.

This session is designed to teach both of these aspects to the Front Line Leaders and give them the skills they need to produce amazing results.  

The first two days of the session are focused on how to build and lead an effective team of individuals using principles of leadership, psychology and high performing cultures. 

Topics Include:

  • Identify and engage in behavioral challenges. 
  • Developing a plan for every person. 
  • Focus on the strengths of the team, not only the individual performance. 
  • Coaching for results.
  • Holding people accountable. 

The second two days are focused on processes including how to identify a good process, how to identify a bad process, and what to do in both cases.  

Topics Include:

  • Principles of World Class Manufacturing.
  • How to spot and address poor or non-existent processes.  
  • Defining and managing the right set of metrics by leading the people and managing the processes. 

The last day is designed for the students to bring it all together, and develop a clear path of action for their team/department/facility.  

  • What to do when I return to work? 
  • How to identify and develop the “Big 3”
  • Communications plan

Each Student will then leave with a clear plan of action and access to the course instructor for follow-up coaching.  The class is built with real world examples, role-playing and conversations that unfortunately, most managers and leaders never have the chance to experience. 

The vision is simple. If you are charged with leading others, then you should know how to lead.  This course is designed to teach managers how to be more effective leaders.  

The Instructor:

Beau Groover has spent the last 20 years in Operations and Manufacturing developing world class leaders and world class Operations.  He is a certified Master Black Belt, Lean Certified and an MBA.  For the last 5 years, he has worked with an Organizational Psychologist developing this process and methodology.  The small classroom allows for exceptional and powerful conversations to help the participants recognize the challenges they face, and equips them with the tools for how to deal with them.  

Class Size is limited to 20 participants.
